Amethyst from Las Vigas, Veracruz, Mexico.
Highlighted in the Mineralogical Record, vol. 34, number 6, November/ December 2003 Mexico (Special Issue III) "Famous Mineral Localities".
These
spectacular Amethysts are hand mined under the most primitive and dangerous conditions. Then they are
pack carried by mules down from the mountains near Las Vigas to the city of Vera Cruz where they were acquired. The mere fact
that we are able to see, appreciate, and own one of these gemmy wonders is a feat unto itself. Rarely will you have an opportunity
to own gem quality Amethyst crystals of such high quality and perfection. Every serious collector should have one
of these beauties grace their collection.

Fluorapophyllite

Akhada, Rahuri, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. Featured in the article, Hot Tips, Cool Crystals: Rare
apophyllite crystals come to light in a well by Brinda Gill, in the March 2003 (VOL.33 NUM.3) issue of "Rock and Gem"
magazine. This was a rare and unusual find.
